2009 and later OM642 Engines - This plug will work BUT
the ECM will need tuning because these engines have sensors fitted to verify that the swirl valve is opening and closing.
There is much information relating to this on car forums and on Youtube
The Swirl valve can be effectively bypassed by fitting a resistor across 2 of the connections on a plug that connects to the Pierburg 6421500494 actuator motor.
This plug has the resistor fitted inside it so it is a neat plug-in solution and needs no soldering or fiddling about.
Once fitted, the engine fault code MAY need to be cleared using a fault code reader - you will need to either buy your own or get someone to do this for you.
You will receive the bypass plug with built-in resistor. I do not offer instructions as the fitting will be specific to your car model, as will be the clearing of the fault code(s)
